Club Championships The Men's Club Championships and Tirhatuan Cup 4 round stroke events start on Saturday February the 11th. Remember to make sure you qualify by having played at least 6 rounds with the club in the last 4 months (Saturday or Tuesday competitions). Saturday Ladies Gross and Nett championships (3 rounds of stroke) will start on Saturday February the 18th. The last round of each championship will also serve as the Qualifying Round for the Club Matchplay Championship, so make sure you don't miss out and play all rounds. Happy Birthday John "Jock" Hutchison recently celebrated his 89th Birthday. On Saturday January 21st his daughter Jan arranged for the presentation of a cake and a lusty rendition of "Happy Birthday" was sung by all.  Even though Jock is 89, he still plays golf twice a week at Tirhatuan as well as rounds with the Dandenong RSL club once a month. In recent years he has conceded to the use of an electric buggy but still walks the course. Well done Jock and Happy Birthday from all the Members of Tirhatuan Golf Club. MEMBERS WEBSITES September 17th: 2011 Annual General Meeting. This years AGM took place on Saturday 17th September 2011, commencing at 2.30 p.m. in our clubrooms. All club members had notification posted to them, including nomination forms for the election of office bearers and committee members. All positions were open and all members were urged to attend this important yearly meeting. The meeting proceeded as per the agenda with the Presidents, Captains, Treasurers and Lady Presidents Reports being accepted as printed in the AGM Annual Report. Copies of the report are available to members in the Clubhouse. The nominations for Office Bearers and Committee members were announced, and with one nomination for each position open, elections were not required and all nominees were duly appointed. The Committee for 2011/ 2012 are as follows. President: Mick Devlin Vice President: Trevor Jones Secretary: E.Nicholls Treasurer: Michael Moss Captain: Simon McPhee General Committee Members: P.Harrison (Vice Captain), Margaret Tempest, Lawrie Beet, Shane Barmby. The President, Mick Devlin, thanked the 2010/ 2011 Committee for their sterling efforts in the past year and welcomed the new Committee for 20011/ 2012. At the conclusion of the AGM, a short break and light refreshments were served prior to the 2010/ 2011 Trophy Presentations.
